THE SHRINKING OF POLITICAL POWER
Sovereignty returns to the citizen, they produced the miracle
By Dr. Nelson Jorge Mosco Castellano

Empirically proven: applied Marxism failed.
Human creativity and minimal capital, from a garage, and its globalization, are better satisfying the needs of more than 8 billion human beings.
The cellphone and the internet are the miraculous machines that gave power to the individual to produce the fourth Economic Revolution.
And with it, to create quality of life in remote places on Earth.
As foreseen in 1989, the end of (communist) history occurred.
The implosion of the Wall of misery, as a supposedly superior form of social and economic life, exposed in all its harshness the exploitation of man by the totalitarian State.
This authoritarian remake also produced, in addition to a holodomor (planned starvation), the greatest delay in humanity’s ability to generate the fourth productive economic revolution.
Today it is empirically evident that freedom defeated the ideology that hypocritically used it as a socialist slogan to subjugate for a century its project of a “new man” in misery and intellectual castration.
No one with a heavy state structure can survive in this era, when technology without bureaucratic intervention provides humanity with quality goods and services at the best technically possible price.
The “Cold War” failed by betting on financing and training militants to impose forms of human subjugation to the State (Gestapo, KGB, or Cuba’s G2 MININT); freedom defeated them time and again.
Today all that shows, wherever socialism left its ruins, misery, poverty, and resignation.
Peoples demolished statues of “beloved leaders” and built museums of the unrepeatable Stalinist socialism.
They still live selling their 20th-century tragedy cheaply to tourism. Some still under a communist veil that closes its eyes to subsistence capitalism, practiced almost illicitly by those making a supreme effort to survive.
There remain hypocrites who moved from collapsed communists to hopeful Gramscians. Their mission: stop the world; maintain the remnants of the International, justifying their thefts by claiming they “fight for the collapse of the cultural superstructure.”
Very strange. Exploiters who use democratic power to destroy the destiny of peoples who once again believed their narrative. Now they vote with their feet, emigrating.
It is increasingly cheaper to produce food, multiply goods and services with less capital, solve needs through competition, sell across borders, and provide preventive or curative medicine anywhere on the planet with the same level of efficiency and effectiveness.
What must a society that still lives in the past incorporate to rise to the challenge?
THE SHRINKING OF POLITICAL POWER THAT ABUSES THE STATE
If we accept that an oversized State is a “toll” that impoverishes, technology is not just a management tool, but a mechanism for liberating the citizen from stagnant and corrupt politicians.
On the horizon of 2026, the combination of these technologies in public administration will operate under three pillars of liberal efficiency:
The End of “Permission”: Smart Contracts (Blockchain)
Today, for a resource to reach a destination or an activity to be enabled, a bureaucrat must “sign.” That is the origin of corruption and delay.
Automatic execution through smart contracts means that transfers or validations are triggered by objective conditions programmed in code, not by political will or bureaucratic discretion.
The citizen regains data sovereignty: the citizen owns their digital identity.
If a ministry, the judiciary, customs, or civil registry needs data, the system queries it with user permission, eliminating physical counters that only exist to request documents the State already has.
Real-Time Auditing: The State as a “Glass Box”
Opacity in public spending allows bureaucracy to grow unchecked.
Using blockchain for public budgets ensures every taxpayer peso is traceable on a public ledger.
It will be known exactly how much was lost in “administrative costs,” misappropriated, and how much reached the final beneficiary.
With immutable, incorruptible records, the possibility of manipulating accounts disappears.
AI: The “Machete” Against the Regulatory Jungle
Many countries suffer from hypertrophy of laws and regulations that often contradict each other.
In Uruguay, 47% of laws in force are not applied.
AI can identify redundant or contradictory regulations suffocating small businesses, suggesting automatic repeal.
Service without queues: 80% of bureaucratic queries can be resolved by natural language systems operating 24/7, without unions and at a fraction of the political cost.
The Great Advantage for the “Most Needy”
The most revolutionary aspect is disintermediation.
Instead of political brokers deciding who receives what, systems can allocate resources directly and transparently based on real data, eliminating clientelism.
It is moving from a State that “controls” to an infrastructure that “serves” the citizen.
For large-scale projects with significant public investment, applying Smart Contracts and Blockchain is not just technical improvement; it is an act of republican ethics and liberal efficiency.
Conclusion:
The political system still fears the algorithm because it does not understand favors, political costs, or electoral “parties.”
It is time for the State to stop being a jungle of procedures and become an architecture of certainties.
Technology now enables what liberalism has always sought: the individual at the center and a minimal, efficient, invisible State serving them.
The rest will follow.
