An allegory about punishment, habit and how systems of domination make the dominated defend their own chains.
When the Cage Learns to Obey
By Dr. Nelson Jorge Mosco Castellano
Perhaps there is no better way to define socialist stratification, a lukewarm form of communist deception, than this experiment.
The first monkeys and the bananas as temptation
It all begins when scientists locked five monkeys inside a cage.
To carry out this experiment with monkeys and bananas, they placed a ladder in the center of the cage and a bunch of bananas above it.
There was always one more alert monkey who climbed the ladder first to grab the bananas.
When that happened, the scientists sprayed very, very cold water on the monkeys that remained on the floor.
After some time, the monkeys assumed that there was a correlation between the ladder and the water.
So, whenever one monkey was about to climb the ladder, the others would beat him.
New monkeys enter the experiment
This experiment with monkeys and bananas was repeated on several occasions, and as a result no monkey dared to climb the ladder, no matter how tempting the bananas placed there might be.
Then the scientists replaced one of the monkeys with a new one.
Naturally, he saw the bananas and quickly tried to climb the ladder.
The others pulled him down and beat him before the cold water could be sprayed on them.
After a few beatings, the new monkey never again climbed the ladder to reach the bananas.
A second monkey was replaced, and the same thing happened to the one who entered in his place.
The first replacement took part with particular enthusiasm in the beating of the new one.
A third was changed, and the same event was repeated.
The fourth, and finally the fifth of the original monkeys, were also replaced by new ones.
All the monkeys were now new compared with the beginning of the experiment, and the bananas remained untouched.
The final result
In the end, the scientists were left with a group of five monkeys who had never received a cold shower, but who still beat anyone who tried to reach the bananas.
They assumed that this was simply how things were done in that cage.
This is the experiment that militant left-wing agents develop when applied to the human sphere.
They lead us to naturalize situations, punishments imposed by political power, which gradually numb rebellion against inequality, injustice, and the criminally relevant conduct of those who exercise evil against others.
In this calamitous situation of loss of rationality, critical freedom of expression, and adaptation to suffering human predation as part of a perverted system to which an ever-growing mass adheres, one observes with astonishment, but without dramatic reaction, in oppressive systems of domination and psychological transmutation, the cruelty involved in the domination of one caste over the defamed one, not only without any reaction, passively accepted, but, what is even more serious, with people acting as co-authors and accomplices of every infamy, internalized definitively as an unalterable situation that it is supposedly correct to perpetuate.
What has been the tragic history of communism, socialism, national socialism and fascism returns again and again, like Sisyphus, making us all carry the stone of old and new forms; these indeed are forms of exploitation of man by the tyrant who indoctrinates by setting some against others.
Learned obedience.
Collective punishment.
Internalized domination.
